The Senior Ministry serves the spiritual and temporal needs of older persons 55 years and older in our parish community.  Seniors go through many changes as they grow older.  Retirement and/or loss of a spouse are major life changing events.  Each of us needs to hear God's word, experience companionship and friendship, and be aware of services external to our parish specially designed to support seniors.  All are welcome!

 We reach out to the senior community through monthly fellowship meetings and Mass.  Our telephone committee informs our membership about upcoming events and any schedule changes.  If someone needs prayer, we use this committee to contact our active members to pray for them.

• Fellowship meetings are opened with prayer and a hymn.  We allow time for people attending to express their own prayer needs.  We provide speakers with knowledge about issues of interest to seniors.  We encourage our seniors to avail themselves of other parish services (like bible studies and seminars) and services available through the community at large.
• We share a meal at each of our monthly meetings. 
• We provide a monthly newsletter with fun facts, trivia and parish/community information.
• At least once a year we try to have a trip.  For example we have gone to the grotto at Emmitsburg, MD and to the Pope John Paul museum in Washington, D.C.
